Information from 2004
This area is in the next field to the west of the
bank in area Apple. It is south facing and directly above what we
believe in prehistory was a shallow lake which eventually let out to sea
from the Fal estuary. In 1988 this field was ploughed repeatedly to kill
off the bracken that had almost covered the field. The following winter
during field walking a number of flint
blades were found. In the 2003 season we
decided to put in some test pits along this bank and more flint blades
were recovered.
